‍ Flourish 2 Project ‍

Flourish 2 is a 5-year project funded by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and headed by principal investigator Dr. Tooru Nemoto. Flourish 2 is operated under Health Intervention Projects for Uplifting People (HIPUP), a program at the Public Health Institute. Our target population is women ages 18 and older living/working in Alameda and San Franciso County.

We aim to provide free peer support and referrals for women and personal goals and connect with services that fit their needs.

  • Flourish 2 Goals is to:

    • Reduce substance use and HIV risk behaviors

    • Improve sexual and mental health

    • Promote well-being

    • Connect clients to community-based behavioral health services, recovery support groups, and stable and housing employment services
